Today’s episode focuses on casual office conversation and gossip. حلقة اليوم يركز على المحادثة وعارضه مكتب ثرثرة. Office gossip is a type of informal conversation in which we tell secrets or rumors about other people or other departments. مكتب الثرثرة هي نوع من المحادثة غير الرسمية التي نقول للاسرار او ما تردد عن اشخاص آخرين او غيرها من الادارات. Gossip is often called water cooler chitchat, since the water cooler is where colleagues meet by chance and discuss things that are happening in the office. ثرثرة وغالبا ما تسمى الدردشه برودة المياه ، حيث ان المياه هي برودة حيث يجتمع الزملاء عن طريق الصدفة ومناقشة الأمور التي تحدث في المكتب. As a non-native speaker of English, you might often find yourself in situations like this: You’re sitting in a meeting or a teleconference, and some of the participants are native English speakers. كما غير الوطنية من المتكلمين الانجليزيه ، وكثيرا ما كنت قد تجد نفسك في مثل هذه الحالات : كنت جالسا في اجتماع أو عن بعد ، وبعض المشاركين منهم من لا يجيدون الانكليزيه. They are speaking with one another very rapidly, and they are using some idiomatic or difficult-to-understand expressions. كما بدأوا يتحدثون مع بعضهم البعض بشكل سريع للغاية ، وانها تستخدم بعض تعبيري او من الصعب فهم لعبارات. Someone says something you don’t understand, or perhaps something that is not true or that you disagree strongly with. يقول احدهم شيئا أنت لا تفهم ، او ربما ما هو غير صحيح أو ان كنت ترفض بشدة. You should interrupt to ask what they mean, to clarify, to correct – but you just can’t bring yourself to open your mouth. يجب عليك ان يقاطع ان نسأل ما يعني ، ان يوضح ، لتصحيح -- انت فقط ولكن لا يمكن تحقيق نفسك لفتح فمك. How do you start? كيف أبدأ؟ How do you interrupt? كيف توقف؟
